The composition of Synthetic Nature expresses a desire to idealize nature through a modern olfactory structure. According to Frédéric Malle, using 100% natural ingredients can sometimes result in a cacophony, whereas the addition of synthetic components allows for the creation of a fragrance that perfectly conveys the story behind it. That’s why a synthetic note reminiscent of hyacinth was added to the green accord — creating a harmonious fusion with floral notes of lily of the valley, jasmine, and ylang-ylang. At the base, oakmoss and patchouli provide earthy depth, while bold basil brings a modern edge to the scent.
