Fragrance

In its new fragrance, Burberry seeks to capture several iconic elements at once: its legendary trench coat, the freshness of London rain, and the scent of a blooming garden after rainfall. Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian explained that the fragrance was inspired by “London and an urban garden.” It combines the vibrant energy of the city with the beauty of flowers and the art of gardening — something deeply rooted in British culture. The fragrance evokes the rich humidity of a garden after the rain, the scent of damp earth, and a grounded natural elegance. Speaking about the composition, the perfumer shared that he wanted to recreate “the feeling of London light: clouds, humidity, rain, and flowers.” At the heart of the fragrance are notes of rose and freesia — subtly spicy and luminous. Geranium leaves add a green, slightly minty freshness, followed by patchouli leaves and quince — a refined fruit note balanced between pear and apple. Enhanced by airy linen accords and sparkling bergamot, the scent reveals a truly British character: elegant, modern, and beautifully floral-fruity.
