In the summer of 2001, when Cologne Bigarade was launched, Jean-Claude Ellena could not have imagined that this new fragrance from Editions de Parfums would create a true revolution among colognes. Cologne Bigarade achieved undeniable success, yet some clients hoped to experience a richer version of the composition with a softer scent — in other words, they wanted a toilette water with the same refined freshness. Revisiting the tradition of Editions de Parfums, where each fragrance exists in only one form, Frédéric Malle and Jean-Claude Ellena experimented with several versions and concluded that increasing the concentration from 4% to 12.5% would create an exceptionally unusual and captivating blend. The result was an entirely new fragrance with exceptional longevity. Its natural freshness provides a refreshing contrast to popular and often ordinary compositions. The ultra-soft body milk mirrors the fragrance’s composition. Lighter and gentler than a body cream, yet equally nourishing. Perfect for daily use.
